ESPN has jumped on the bandwagon of Star Wars commercials with an ad for Sports Center. 

It was available on StarWars.com but, as with the other recent videos, I thought I'd post it here as well.

Starwars.com released the XL version of the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith teaser trailer today.

There was an interesting story that was published in the G.I. Joe Collectors' Club newsletter this month.  It's about the Mars 2000 corporation in Rhode Island.  They are used by Hasbro for some injection molding projects.  Although they did some work for the G.I. Joe club for their 2004 convention exclusives, the article shows some pictures and talks about Hasbro's C-3PO action figure case.  There are a couple of pictures and some interesting information about the injection molding process.

Toy Show

Looks like the Syracuse toy show in November has been canceled.  CNY Productions has combined the toy show with their Collectorsfest.  Since that was held back on October 31st, the show is now over.

You can also see it tonight during the 11/4 "Access Hollywood" show on TV or as an opening trailer with Pixar's new movie, The Incredibles, opening in theaters on 11/5 in the US.

Updated the General Collection page with my autograph collection, some vintage figures and preproduction items.

I realized that a lot of what I have displayed has changed recently and I didn't have current pictures of all of it so most of the display pictures that I did put up are current, but some aren't. 

And still, the majority of my collection is packed away as I don't have room to display it in my current apartment.

Celebration III

Celebration 3 information is starting to hit the Internet.  The most recent info is for dealers but some info can be guessed from the information.  One thing that it may point to is the cost of 4 day passes; $90. 

There is also hotel information included in the packets but reports on a lot of the forums is that hotels are not taking reservations yet for Celebration week in April 2005.

Gentle Giant

The 2004 San Diego and Wizard World Chicago exclusive was Luke Skywalker as a Stormtrooper from ANH.  This bust was also released on the GG web site and should be shipping to those that ordered.

Bossk, the August release is also available on-line and in stores.

The Clone Wars Yoda maquette is now available and shipping.  Mine arrived on 9/8 and is extremely cool.  Pictures later but he'll be my show-n-tell at the 9/18 PSWCS meeting first.

Wizards of the Coast

The first collectible miniatures game in the Star Wars universe is out as of 9/3.  You can check out FAQ's, the set list and other information on WotC's web site.

Updated the Focus Collection page with some Lego and Hasbro items.  I still have a couple things to take pictures of but they are in storage right now so it may be a while on them.

I also have my autographs organized I just need to get one page arranged and that will be up.

Added the close-up shots of the proof cards and bootlegs. Single pictures are back up of my Episode 1 Bonus Battle Droid and Asian mini-fig collections.

Next step will be to add pictures of my Republic Gunship collection.

Coming Events

Upcoming events for Central NY. CNY Promotions is holding it's CollectorsFest on October 31, 2004 at the NY State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

They also have their next Toy Collectibles Show coming up on November 21, 2004. I've found some great items at this show before and it may be worth a look this fall.

Yesterday was the 4th annual PSWCS summer social which was held in State College, PA this year. There were quite a few members, guests and family members in attendance. Our host, Bill G. showed off his awesome collection, we had some fun games and there were plenty of entertaining show-n-tell items. The grill ran for a couple of hours and the food table was full all day.

So was the prize table! Thanks to everyone that donated as well as the corporate sponsors we had again this year.
