1-17-2012Celebration VI GuestsNow that we're in the new year, we should start seeing more information about Star Wars Celebration VI appear with more frequency. To kick things off, we've seen a couple of announcements for authors and artists. On the authors front, Suvudu announced that Timothy Zahn, Aaron Allston, Troy Denning and Drew Karpyshyn will be in Orlando this August. According to Del Rey, John Jackson Miller will also attend. If you are an art fan then you can look forward to seeing fan favorites Brian Rood, Chris Trevas, Joe Corroney, Matt Busch and Dave Dorman. Also confirmed are Lin Zy and Christian Waggoner, who has been heating up the Acme Archives offerings over the last year or so. 8-24-2011VIP TicketsVIP tickets went on sale at 10:00AM for those that also had VIP tickets for Celebration V. By 11:00, the Jedi Master tickets were showing as sold out. There was no posting on the Jedi Knight tickets until 3:00 when they were also marked as sold out. Reed also updated the StarWarsCelebration.com website with a "What's Happening" section where they list several events we can expect for Celebration VI. Among them, a Star Wars Family Room where kids can hang out and the Star Wars Classroom where attendees can attend workshops on scrapbooking, art and storytelling. Star Wars Celebration VI opens one year from today in Orlando, Florida and the countdown begins with the sale of VIP tickets going live on Wednesday, August 24th. While regular ticket packages have been on sale since June 2nd, this marks the first major update since then, and we can only guess that more info will start to roll in as we move forward.
