On Friday August 13th at 1:30, Hasbro held their "What's New
from Hasbro" panel where they went through a slideshow of current
and upcoming product.
Most of the info in the presentation was already covered at San
Diego Comic-Con but there were new reveals in both the Vintage
Collection and Clone Wars lines, as well as a preview of the new
Darth Maul FX lightsaber with removable blade. We tweeted
the Hasbro panel live and hope everyone took advantage of that,
but if you didn't, and haven't already seen the new info from
Hasbro, we'll cover some of it here.
Some of the most interesting news came in the exclusive
announcements but first, we were introduced to new Vintage
Collection and Clone Wars figures.
New Vintage Collection figures, which should be on pegs in
November, include:
Super Battle Droid
Senate Guard
Mace Windu
Padme Amidala (Peasant disguise w/ two headdresses)
Anakin Skywalker (Peasant disguise with soft goods)
Jango Fett
Kit Fisto
Zam Wesell (interchangeable head, removable helmet and face
mask)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (AOTC)
The Vintage Collection line is scheduled for 37 figures in 2010
with 27 being new or newish, while the other 10 will be "greatest
hits" and appearing on the Kenner style cardback for the first
time.
Coming in October and November, new Clone Wars figures include:
Embo
R4-P17
Mandalorian Warrior
Boba Fett
Shaak Ti
Cato Parasitti (November)
Undead Geonosian (November)
Clone Trooper Draa (November)
Clone Commander Jet
All of the Clone Wars and Saga Legends figures will come with
the new Galactic Battle Game pieces and dice. Action figures
in Battle Packs will also have game cards and the mail-away Sgt.
Bric figure will include a play mat that can be used to store the
cards and play the game.
The Starfighter wave is getting several new vehicles, some of
which were previously revealed or had prototypes show up online.
One surprise reveal was the new Jedi Turbo Speeder. The
following vehicles should be hitting from October 2010 through
January 2011 (for the Turbo Speeder).
Jedi Turbo Speeder
AAT
Clone Swamp Speeder
Hyena Bomber
AT-AP
Xanadu Blood
Plo Koon Starfighter
Droid Gunship
Droid Tri-Fighter (new deco)

As mentioned above, arguably the most interesting information
was revealed in the exclusives section of the presentation.
One surprise was that Kohl's will receive an exclusive Galactic
Heroes AT-ST Cinema Scene in September. I believe this is
the first exclusive Kohl's has had since the release of Revenge
of the Sith.
K-Mart is also getting back into the exclusives business with
the Jodo Kast action figure (out now) and the Clone Wars Clone
Commando Squad pack which has a Cold Weather Trooper, ARF Trooper,
Pilot and Jetpack Clone. Look for that now as it's also due
in August with Jodo Kast.
Here's a breakdown of the other exclusives.
