Autograph and Special Guests8-22-2010Official Pix has their autograph hall down to nearly a science. Not only do they have a top notch guest list, they also offer excellent photos for signing and additional collectible items to enhance everyone's experience. From the well educated volunteers to the line management through numbered tickets and wrist bands, the autograph hall at Star Wars Celebrations has grown to become one of the smoothest run areas of the event. For Celebration V the main goal was to meet Mark Hamill and have him sign a piece that's been in the works since Celebration II. Due to equal parts line management and a smaller than normal crowd on Saturday morning (many were in line for George Lucas' panel), it only took about an hour of wait time to get in to see Mr. Hamill. While no photos were allowed, it was still a blast meeting him and having a few words.
It was also an excellent experience being able to meet Robert Watts and speak with him for a few minutes about the films as well as him winning his battle with cancer. Being able to have him sing alongside Gary Kurtz and Ben Burtt was just a bonus that couldn't be passed up. While it was expected that the Clone Wars voice actors would be popular, it was still a surprise to see lines capped for many of them throughout the weekend. Ashley Eckstein made several short appearances in the autograph hall and Jamie King appeared for one day to sign as Aurra Sing.
Although James Taylor was hard to track down, meeting Ashley, Matt Lanter and Dee Bradley Baker was enough to make the personal highlight list for the weekend. 7-17-2010The Autograph Hall is once again being run by Official Pix. Over 40 guests have been announced with six Special Guests including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Anthony Daniels. George Lucas will be appearing on stage for an interview with "The Daily Show" host, Jon Stewart. Several Lucasfilm and ILM guests will also be attending, but not necessarily signing, including Howard Roffman and Lorne Peterson. Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano, will be at booth 1111 promoting her new clothing line, Her Universe. It's believed Ashley will be signing at the show, so make sure to stop by her booth. All of the autograph guests will be charging $20 per signature unless otherwise noted. See below for a full list of guests attending Celebration V.
