Sideshow
Sideshow had some old favorites in their display cases along
with some incredible new items in both the 1:6 and Premium
Format scales.
In the 1:6th line they debuted an absolutely incredible
Obi-Wan Kenobi as he was seen in A New Hope. If the
head sculpt on this figure stays the same and they can pull off
the paint apps, I have to believe this may be their best figure
to date!
Also on display were the Holochess table and Holo Emperor
environment pieces.
The Princess Leia that we pre-ordered a few weeks back was in
the case and looks better in person. Also there was the
Asajj Ventress which looks really nice. Now if they'd just
ship her and finally give us our Padme!
The rest of the items included the Jabba environment, Endor
Rebel Troopers and the Jedi figures we have in our collections
already.
The VCD and Real Action Heroes figures were in a case and
they look much better in person than in photos. The VCD
figures are actually much larger and nicer than I originally
thought. If they ever do an AT-AT Driver in either of
these two lines you can definitely count me in.
Also making its debut in the Premium Format line was the new Scout
Trooper on Speeder Bike. It's absolutely huge and
incredibly detailed. If you are a fan of the PF items or a
Scout Trooper collector you better start saving your pennies
now.
A bronze Darth Vader statue will also be offered in the PF
format in the near future.
Several life sized busts were scattered around the booth.
Yoda, Greedo and Maul have all been seen before, I believe, but
Bossk will soon join the ranks.
The life sized R2-D2 and C-3PO statues were next to the booth
and a lot of people were taking advantage of them for photo
opportunities.
If you like the environments that Sideshow is making, including
the exclusive Space Slug they had for sale over the weekend,
you'll really dig the Anakin and Obi-Wan statue showing their
final showdown from Revenge of the Sith.
For the money, Sideshow is putting out some of the best
collectibles in the Star Wars universe right now.
