Lucas Archives
A nice highlight of each of the Celebrations has been the Lucas
Archives. There is always a nice selection of screen used
props, costumes and pre-production art.
At Celebration IV we also had some nice gowns from the Prequel
Trilogy, some early concept models and, finally, and answer to
the color of Han Solo's coat he wore on Hoth.
There were several versions of Darth Vader's belt and chest
panel, Luke Skywalkers robotic hand and early concepts for the
Millennium Falcon and the Death Star.
Although there was not a huge display, the items shown were
really incredible. I think there might have been more on
display if the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
traveling exhibit was not in full swing. Unfortunately the
exhibit wasn't held over for Celebration IV. It was in Los
Angeles but left about a month before CIV started.
Still, it's always fun to see items that were used on camera in
our favorite films.
