On Thursday I had the opportunity to look over the booths for most of the licensees that were attending the convention.  Although there was a ton of new items to be seen I think I actually missed out on a few things in the display cases.

On Friday Hasbro held their Question and Answer panel where we got first looks at even more cool stuff!  Check out the report and the photos at the bottom.

McQuarrie Concept Snowtrooper

Hasbro Booth

Hasbro had an amazing booth where they showed off several of the upcoming waves as well as some new exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con.  Those include a new droid, R2-KT, McQuarrie concept figures of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda and a vehicle pack, Shadow Scout with Speeder Bike, done in all black.

There will also be a concept art version of General Grievous that will be a ShopStarWars.com exclusive in October.

We got first looks at a new AOTC version of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter, now complete with a hyperdrive ring!  Other vehicles shown were a TRU exclusive TIE Interceptor and a Target exclusive ARC-170 and Battle Pack which both sport the animated Clone Wars shark deco.

Several new comic 2-packs were in the case along with the Force Unleashed figures which have been pushed back till 2008.  The re-paint wave that took its place was in the case and there are some good looking figures included.

Some of the nice surprises were actually in the Galactic Heroes case.  Vehicles are coming back!  Some of the Playskool vehicles which came out in 2002 will be back along with newer figures.  The Cantina will be well represented with two Battle Packs which include sounds for the band and a bar with Wurher.  They both will be Wal-Mart exclusives.

The Attacktix line keeps rolling with a set of figures from The Empire Strikes Back including and AT-AT Driver, Leia Hoth and many other fan favoirtes.

Unleashed Battle Packs continue to add troop builder sets, droids and our favorite heroes in new outfits.

Hasbro adds new vehicles and new re-paints to their Titanium line with an AT-AP and V-Wing (which should already be out) alongside more Jedi Starfighters with Hyperdrive rings.

What's New at Hasbro - 5-25-2007

Question and Answer Panel

During the Question and Answer panel with Hasbro we found out that we will see General Grievous' Starfighter later this year along with an AT-AP in the 3.75" line.  Both were a pleasant surprise.

The Transformers line continues to pick up steam with an AT-AT Driver/AT-AT and Commander Cody/Turbo Tank figures while we will also get huge Death Star that turns into Darth Vader!

Diamond Comics and on-line retailers will have the next 7" Unleashed figure which is an ARC Trooper re-tool of the Clone Trooper Unleashed that is already out.

The coolest segment of Hasbro's Q&A was the first announcement of the R2-KT droid made for Katie Johnson who passed away in August, 2005.  Hasbro and Lucasfilm donated $100,000 to Make-a-Wish of San Diego in Katie's memory.  The droid will debut at San Diego Comic-Con in July and also be available on HasbroToyShop and StarWarsShop.com.
